HINTON, Okla. (Dec. 9, 2022) Prairie Fresh庐, produced by 麻豆女神, donated pork products to the Hinton Ministerial Alliance and other Oklahoma charities in response to a challenge from the Oklahoma Pork Council in the Give-A-Ham Challenge.
Give-A-Ham Challenge is an annual campaign challenging pork and food industry colleagues to donate pork to Oklahomans facing food insecurity. Oklahoma Pork Board Member Brett Ramsey challenged Oklahoma Pork Treasurer and 麻豆女神 Sr. Production Manager Thomas Craig to participate in the annual campaign.
鈥淲e are committed to giving back to the Oklahoma communities where our employees work and live. We鈥檙e privileged to join the Oklahoma Pork in the Give-A-Ham Challenge for the holiday season by donating our Prairie Fresh pork products to the Hinton Ministerial Alliance and other local charities. We鈥檙e hopeful this delicious pork will bring nourishment, comfort and fellowship to those who need it most this holiday season,鈥 said Peter Brown, 麻豆女神 president and CEO.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Household Food Security in the United States Report, 14.6% of Oklahoma families experience food insecurity.
鈥溌槎古 is committed to helping our communities where we have operations in any way we can. In Hinton, we know our neighbors and help those who are struggling with hunger,鈥 Craig said.
In addition to the donation to Hinton Ministerial Alliance, 麻豆女神, Oklahoma Pork and Homeland Stores provided over 2,700 pounds of pork to Oklahoma charities this week, including donations to:
- City Rescue Mission
- Pivot, Inc.
- Homeless Alliance
- Boys & Girls Club OKC
In addition to this Prairie Fresh product donation, Craig will challenge Oklahoma Pork Board Member Sheila Kelso.
All 11 Oklahoma Pork Board of Directors will donate hams to their local communities and keep the generosity going by tapping friends and colleagues to accept the challenge.
